Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining price quotes for requested items

Create purchase orders and submit them to approved vendors in a timely manner

Follow up on purchase orders to track delivery status and ensure timely receipt of goods

Receive inbound shipments
-
Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
-
Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.)

Work with vendors on shipments
-
Assist with pulling outbound orders and scheduling deliveries
-
Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory and pricing control

Monitor inventory levels and initiate reordering of stock as needed
We would like applicants to have:

Experience in warehouse, receiving, or inventory management a plus

Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data (ex: MS Office & Excel)

Basic math and record keeping capabilities

Excellent organization and communication skills

Keen eye for detail

As a Branch Manager at Thompson Brothers Supply, you will play a pivotal role in promoting and selling welding and industrial gases, welding equipment, safety products, and services. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee all aspects of store operations, drive sales growth, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

CDL A Driver
This position is a permanent, full-time role at our Coffeyville location. Applicants must be able to pass pre-employment screenings. Starting pay is based on experience.
Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Safely operate company truck and equipment
-
Maintain load manifests and all other vehicle documents.
-
Handle, maneuver, load, and organize compressed gas and liquid cylinders and palletized hard goods on trucks and trailers
-
Operate a forklift and pallet jack
-
Accurately fills out tickets/invoices
-
Performs other tasks as needed; including filling cylinders as needed at gas distribution facility
-
Strictly comply with all safety rules and DOT and OSHA regulations.
Applicant must have:

Class A / B CDL Required with Hazmat Endorsement
-
Clean commercial driving record 3+ years
-
Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)

Forklift certified a plus or ability to obtain certification

Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and company administered road test

Ability to effectively communicate with customers

Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Act as account rep to manage and grow existing customer accounts

Identifies and resolves customer concerns

Identify, foster and bring in new business within territory

Follows up on new leads and referrals

Meets with vendor representatives when appropriate and assists in the overall sales and operations functions in the Branch as needed

Attends training sessions and department meetings as requested

Serves as the backup to the counter sales in any one of our four locations

Maximize industry education and increase product knowledge in welding and metal fab industry to help customers

Develop and maintain sales materials with marketing assistance
Applicant must have:

Driver’s license that meets job requirements (CDL-B) with the ability to handle a high volume of driving
